The Riverfront Theatre and Arts Centre offers an extensive programme of performances, live entertainment and various exhibitions, and is home to a spacious theatre with seating for almost 500 people. There is also an additional studio space available here, which can seat more than 100 and offers a particularly intimate space, where smaller gigs, concerts and other local attractions are held. Built in the late 1960s for a local theatrical society, the Dolman Theatre has a spacious auditorium with seating for around 400 people and also a separate 60-seater studio area. The Newport Centre is a popular leisure centre boasting a range of sporting facilities, suiting all ages.
